ABOUT SAM

Hello I’m Sam and I’ve been a registered nurse for 13 years working in Oncology, Intensive care and Theatre recovery. I have a young family, one of my boys is registered disabled and in 2019 I decided to take the plunge and start my own Aesthetics business in order to spend more time with the family. Skin Appeal Aesthetics Ltd opened its doors in January 2020. My ethos has always been to provide really lovely natural looking results and to replace what’s been lost due to the aging process but to do it in a way that is subtle. I aim to ensure you feel secure and safe by using the most tried and tested techniques and I pride myself on listening to you, working with you right through your aesthetics journey to hopefully make sure you are delighted with the results and the service I provide. Thanks again for your support.

WHY CHOOSE ME?

Choosing an aesthetic nurse for your treatments can offer several distinct advantages, especially when it comes to personalized care and expertise. Here are some of the main benefits:
1. Medical Expertise & Training
Aesthetic nurses are licensed healthcare professionals, often with advanced training in dermatology, cosmetic treatments, or plastic surgery. Their background in medical science ensures that they understand the anatomy, skin conditions, and potential risks involved in aesthetic procedures, making them well-equipped to perform safe and effective treatments.
2. Personalized Approach
An aesthetic nurse takes time to assess your individual needs, skin type, and cosmetic goals. Their approach is typically more tailored, offering a customized treatment plan that addresses your unique concerns rather than just following a one-size-fits-all approach.
3. Safety and Hygiene
As trained healthcare providers, aesthetic nurses follow strict protocols regarding hygiene, sanitation, and patient care. They ensure that the procedures are performed in sterile environments, minimizing the risk of infection or complications.
4. Knowledge of Facial Anatomy
With their specialized training, aesthetic nurses have an in-depth understanding of facial anatomy and the best injection techniques, making treatments such as botox, dermal fillers, and lip augmentation more precise and effective.
5. Cost-Effectiveness
While the initial cost of treatments performed by an aesthetic nurse may sometimes be lower compared to those from a plastic surgeon or dermatologist, you’re still receiving expert care. They can often offer high-quality results at a more affordable price point, making treatments accessible for more people.
6. Experience with Non-Surgical Treatments
Aesthetic nurses often focus on minimally invasive, non-surgical procedures, which are becoming increasingly popular. They are highly experienced in procedures like Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, microneedling, and more—helping clients achieve noticeable results without the downtime or risks of surgery.
7. Ongoing Care and Follow-up
Because aesthetic nurses often build long-term relationships with clients, they are great at providing follow-up care and touch-ups. This ongoing relationship allows them to monitor your results over time and adjust treatments if necessary.
8. Comprehensive Advice on Aftercare
Aesthetic nurses are trained to give you detailed aftercare instructions, helping you avoid common mistakes or issues that could compromise your results. Their advice can also help optimize healing and enhance the longevity of your treatments.
9. Holistic Approach to Beauty
Many aesthetic nurses adopt a holistic approach, considering not just the immediate results of a treatment but also how it fits into the broader context of your beauty and wellness goals. They may recommend other lifestyle changes or treatments that can complement your results.
10. Empathy & Client-Centered Care
As healthcare professionals, aesthetic nurses often bring an empathetic, patient-centered approach to the process, making you feel comfortable and cared for. Their focus is on achieving results that align with your expectations, not pushing for more treatments than you need.
